Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, The ADHD Nest earns a small commission at no extra cost to you.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. That's the legally required bit. Here's the rest of it, in plain English.

When I link to a product, that link sometimes carries a code identifying the click as coming from here. If you buy within a set window - usually 24 hours for Amazon, longer for other programmes, the retailer pays me a percentage of what you spent. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise.

Any link to a product you can buy. Currently that means Amazon, and over time it will include companies like Loop and subscription tools such as Brain.fm and Focusmate.

Links to research, articles, other websites and our own posts are not affiliate links and never will be.

Every page containing affiliate links says so at the top, before the first link. If you don't see that notice, there are no affiliate links on the page.

What it doesn't change

Commission rates vary a lot — some products pay five times what others do. So it's fair to ask whether that shapes what gets recommended.

Here's the commitment, and you can hold me to it:

  • The recommendation comes first, the link comes second. If the best answer for you is a cheap product that pays me almost nothing, that's what the page will say. Several already do.
  • If the honest answer is "don't buy anything," the page says that. A free phone timer works before a £30 one does. Not every problem is solved by purchasing.
  • Every product gets a stated drawback. Anything I recommend, I'll also tell you who shouldn't buy it.
  • I'll tell you what I've actually used. Where I haven't tested something myself, the page says so and explains where the judgement comes from. I will never claim to have tested something I haven't.

Why this matters more here than on most sites

This site is read by people with ADHD, and impulsive spending is part of the condition for a lot of us. Writing "buy this now" to a person whose brain is already working against them on exactly that would be a nasty thing to do for a few euros of commission.

So there's no fake urgency here. No countdown timers, no invented scarcity, no "prices are rising." If a page ever pressures you, that's a mistake — please tell me and I'll fix it.

Where the money goes

Running this costs money - hosting, the domain, the tools. Affiliate commission is what keeps the site free to read.

Questions

Email hello@adhdnest.org and ask. If you'd rather not use an affiliate link, just search for the product directly. No hard feelings, and the advice on the page is the same either way, I only recommend products I know intimately or have tried for myself and genuinely cannot stop talking about how awesome it is!
